Originally from the UK, I came to New Zealand in the mid 90's looking for adventure, opportunity but most of all quality of life. I think I found all three and more..
I followed a family tradition in horticulture after leaving school and went on to gain a diploma in the industry. In New Zealand, I added papers in the landscape construction industry. I currently hold tradesman qualifications in Landscape construction.
I have spent the last few years managing large landscape projects in the commercial sector like the new North West shopping complex.
These days I absorb my life in design and specifically small space living solutions. Sitting down with a cup of tea in the evenings, you'll find me idea searching, working on construction detail and finding new concepts that please me as much as clients. Creating something beautiful and functional brings me great pleasure.
Sam is part of the construction team. A great man with a great practical mind. He has taken to building Garden Rooms with a passion.
The last two years of school, Sam completed a government funded building program building a modular design home from scratch.
He moved in to the landscape construction industry before joining me at The Garden Room Company.
His easy, accepting manner and practical skill makes him a great asset.
